Intergenerational Learning

We create meaningful opportunities for intergenerational interactions in our beautiful garden shared with Wren Hall. By facilitating daily visits with the residents, who we refer to as ‘family members’, we ensure that our children grow up with a deep appreciation and respect for all individuals, irrespective of age.

At Little Wrens Nursery, our brilliant team ensures that these intergenerational moments are purposeful and meaningful. They facilitate activities that encourage communication, collaboration and mutual learning. Whether it’s tending to the garden, engaging in arts and crafts projects, or simply sharing stories and laughter — every moment is an opportunity for connection, growth and development.

We take great pride in our intergenerational care initiatives and the positive impact it has on both the lives of our children and the older adults involved. By promoting relationships between the two generations, we provide a nurturing and holistic learning environment that goes beyond traditional childcare.
