Our Approach
Cultivating Curious Thinkers Through Exceptional Care
At Little Wrens Nursery, we fully appreciate the importance of early childhood development, empowering children to become inquisitive, enthusiastic and adaptable.
Our approach to childcare goes beyond just looking after and educating children. With an ethos of “Nurture, Nature and Nourish”, we believe in creating a warm and inclusive environment where every child feels loved, valued and supported. This extends to our curriculum intent, which centralises around a child-led, forest school strategy, as well as a focus on intergenerational connections.
Catering to the needs of each group, our nursery in Nottingham has dedicated separate rooms for babies and preschoolers. This ensures that every child receives the individualised support and guidance necessary for their development and growth.
Understanding that each child is unique and has different needs, we ensure that we tailor our care accordingly. We go the extra mile to create a sense of belonging, encouraging children to explore, learn and develop at their own pace.
At Little Wrens, children can enjoy stimulating activities, interactive play areas and outdoor learning practices — all of which are designed to spark creativity and a love for learning.
By fostering a sense of wonder and curiosity, we encourage children to ask questions, seek answers, and develop critical thinking skills that will serve them well throughout their early years and beyond.
Forest School
At Little Wrens, we take pride in our Forest School. It emphasises self-esteem, creativity, confidence, play, and as it's designed to be learner-centred, our Forest School prioritises the curiosity of our children, fostering holistic learning that contributes to their social, emotional, and physical growth.

Intergenerational Opportunities
Our early years nursery is situated right next to Wren Hall Nursing Home, which offers plenty of opportunities for intergenerational bonding.
By joining our nursery with our nursing home, we provide a truly one-of-a-kind education model that brings countless benefits to children.
Through shared activities, conversations and storytelling, children can gain a broader understanding of the world around them and develop essential social skills, empathy and respect for others.
